Further development of this image. I had a chat with Phil (photoshop dude), he suggested that I could add some colour into the image and also make sure that the dark tones aren't so blocky. Unfortunately the image is on my computer at home so i could work into it, meaning i had to start the image again. This doesn't bother me too much because i learn more about brushes, layers and just photoshop in general when extra practice is added.
I used a custom to make the hairs, this time I added the tones in straight away with this tool; saves a lot of time and is a lot more effective. I added the colour in with an 'overlay' layer with a light brown; while i was playing around i turned the 'overlay' back to normal and really liked what i saw. Having the eyes and teeth showing could be something i might go into on another image, but not this one. when the colour was on, I was finished. This image is something i could really think about when I do my final piece in the next couple of days.

I really like these - classic horror stuff!
