Research - Mountains, Deserts, Canyons and Rock faces

I've had a look at a few images so I can understand the way a rock forms and moves in different terrain. Looking at moutains, caves and Canyons has allowed me to see the difference in the effect nature has on its rockbeds. What has inspired me about these images is the different colours rocks are shown in; they are not just dirty browns and greys, some are blue, orange, red, yellow. The range of colours is something I hope to experiment with.
