experimental painting 2

The last experimental painting I did left me open for more ideas to flood in, pluss with the feedback I recieved, I new which ways I could travel. This piece turned out to be more of a focus on compostion but keeping in mind the skills that were developed in the previous painting. I really like this piece, for me it has a lot of things going for it, foreground, middleground and background, a wide range of colour and a story to tell. Even though it has its ups, it defiantly has its down, for example the brightness of colour is missed a lot. I wanted to add shadow caused by another mountain outside of the image but it just makes the image look dark for no reason. For this reason i boosted the sky with extreme colour, its was sooo simple, its just pure colour of yellow, orange and red with a blue undercoat, I was highly suprised at the simplicity and effectivness of the technique. The way it moves to the distance is very interesting
